How long does it take?
The average treatment duration is 18 to 24 months. This is a guideline, not a guarantee. The actual duration depends on the severity of the irregularity, the type of appliance and your child's cooperation.
After removing the brace, there is always a retention phase of at least 2 years. During this phase your child wears a retainer to prevent the teeth from shifting back.
Total care at Orthodontic Practice AP therefore typically spans 4 to 6 years, from the first consultation to the completion of retention check-ups.
